This part of the building is the new play area for the pre-school children. I am interested in re-defining what kids space designs can be today.  I want to avoid typical “kids” designs and go for something more sophisticated and inspired by Nature. My design for this is the result of a multi media process which begins with photographing patterns I find out in everyday life. I then re-design and push and pull and remix in photoshop until I have a refined design that feels simple and familiar, yet forward thinking and new. I like to play with scale, using large simple shapes to make the viewer, in this case toddlers, feel tiny like a bug in the grass.
